BKG Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 I purchased a new computer and installed ATX payroll on it. After the download when I clicked on the icon, it didn’t work. I had the same issue with ATX Tax. I was able to get help from the tech support. But now it’s after hours and I was wondering if someone had the same issue and how they resolved it. For the Tax software the tech guy ran some C++ program on my computer remotely. Quote
Randall Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 I don't have a new computer but occasionally something like this happens. I used to restart. But now I've found you can go to Task Manager and 'end task' on the ATX program. Then clicking the icon opens the program. Quote
mcb39 Posted February 25 Report Posted February 25 Make sure that you have a different password for Payroll than you use for the ATX 2024 tax program. Quote

My IT person went into Avast and turned off the files that were not allowing ATX to open. This now prevents me from having to turn off Avast every time that I want to log into ATX. 1 Quote
