Christian Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 I sent in my first efile of the season today which was accepted at Andover. Normally the response is accepted but this one came came Accept with messages. I did my best but was unable to bring up any message. Clearly I have missed something in the annual ATX review. The efile has gone through leaving me wondering about the messages. Any info is appreciated. Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted January 30 Report Posted January 30 Last year the message was “thank you for efiling” Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted January 31 Report Posted January 31 I only got this last year on business returns and it seemed to relate to IRS having a responsible party on file. I ignored it. I think to see what it said I clicked on "display selected e-file action required" in the menu under e-file on the e-file manager. If I remember correctly. I haven't e-filed anything but 1099s this year 1 Quote
TaxMan60601 Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM Report Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM Mine experience with status "Accepted with Messages", for all who "struggles" with this like me, every single tax season. Latest E-file error rejection code I got with this status was R0000-232: 'IRSResponsiblePrtyInfoCurrInd' in the Return Header does not have a choice of "Yes" indicated... Solution: If there are changes to the business name, business address, or responsible party file Form 8822-B with the IRS. Otherwise, on Form 'Electronic Filing Information (1120)' mark the question "Does the IRS have the most current Responsible Part information on file?" with asnwer "Yes". No need to file Amended return if the answer was omitted in the original tax return. Quote
Abby Normal Posted Sunday at 04:15 PM Report Posted Sunday at 04:15 PM While in the Efile Manager, with the return highlighted/selected, press Ctrl+R and it will open the return and display any messages or rejection errors. 2 Quote
