Marie Posted April 9, 2024 Report Posted April 9, 2024 We are doing direct debits for more people this year because of the poor service of the post office. We are doing thru ATX software. The federal is going out within a couple of days, but MO isn't pulling their money for days. We set one up for April 5 and it still hasn't been taken today. Is it considered paid if the efile is accepted? Getting too close to April 15 for payments to be considered late. Does anyone know ? Quote
mcbreck Posted April 9, 2024 Report Posted April 9, 2024 Per the Missouri site https://dor.mo.gov/faq/taxation/individual/efile.html: Direct Debit: Payments can be submitted with your electronically filed return, through your software provider. Payments can be scheduled up to 120 days in the future. Please allow up to 7 business days, after the effective date, for the payment to be debited from your account. Quote
Marie Posted April 9, 2024 Author Report Posted April 9, 2024 I SAW THIS, DOES THAT MEAN IT IS PAID EVEN THOUGH THE PAYMENT HAS NOT BEEN PULLED FROM THE BANK. Quote
mcbreck Posted April 9, 2024 Report Posted April 9, 2024 I think it means the return is accepted by the state / time stamped so it's like you've postmarked the envelope when mailing in a check. 1 Quote
