MO return and dependent

parents claimed child in 2022.  In 2023, child is claiming himself.  Under the state tab to mark resident or not, and county, I can't get the dependent to say Single.  I deleted the MO return and reopened it, and it still says dependent.  I had this also happen when a husband died and I re-entered the wife as the filer.  MO said, again, she was a dependent.  No matter how many times I checked and unchecked the X box saying if dependent on the main info screen. 

So, I've had to delete the whole return and reenter all the info from w-2's. 

Anyone from MO having this issue,too??
