MaryNoe Posted January 26, 2024 Report Posted January 26, 2024 Is anyone else having a problem rolling over returns from 2022? I get error message: "file could not be rolled due to communication error." Quote
Randall Posted January 26, 2024 Report Posted January 26, 2024 I've only rolled over one so far. I didn't have a problem. I have rolled over several payroll returns with no problem. 1 Quote
BulldogTom Posted January 26, 2024 Report Posted January 26, 2024 No problems here. About 8 rolled over. Tom Longview, TX 1 Quote
BrewOne Posted January 26, 2024 Report Posted January 26, 2024 No problem (except for incorrect data appearing)--I would open 2022 and make sure everything is functioning normally there. 1 Quote
Pacun Posted January 26, 2024 Report Posted January 26, 2024 Try another client and then another. If none of them open, then you have a huge issue. 2 Quote
Abby Normal Posted January 26, 2024 Report Posted January 26, 2024 Make sure your ATX 2022 Server is running. You can see it in Windows Task Manager. You can run the Admin Console for ATX 2022 to both see and start the server. Quote
MaryNoe Posted February 1, 2024 Author Report Posted February 1, 2024 Checked all things that were recommended. Have to open each return in 2022 before I can rollover to 2023. UGH! Quote
BulldogTom Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 Did you get a new computer this year? Seems to me I had to do that same thing the last time I got a new computer. Tom Longview, TX 1 Quote

Lee B Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 When I used to use ATX, the software required the forms in the prior years returns to be the current version before the you could rollover to the next year? Quote

Never seen that happen in the 10 years I've been with ATX. Quote
MaryNoe Posted February 20, 2024 Author Report Posted February 20, 2024 Not a new computer. Still having problem. Have to open return in 2022 before attempting to rollover the return. This works most of the time. UGH! Quote
