Call from ATX

Received a call this evening telling me to recover all of my ACKs as they will no longer be available after Friday. They will then be working on the program for 2008. It really was a nice reminder as I had forgotten to retrieve a State Ack for a return that I filed on 10/15. Sure enough, it was still out there. For those of you who don't answer CID unavailable calls; heads up on this. Thank you ATX. Tomorrow, I start cleaning my office; filing, sorting and shredding. New materials are coming in and I have a disorganized mess....

Received the same phone call except their recording must have been going when my answering machine was stating I was unavailable. Only got the last part to that they won't be available after Fri. Now I know what wont be available after Fri. Thanks.

I just got the email also.; so all bases were covered. As I said, I did have one hanging out there that I had forgotten about.

I became concerned about my fiscal year filing for a nonprofit so called. I didn't know that there was a separate "BFC" for business filing that is year round. Only the "EFC" for individuals is to be unavailable...according to Gloria.

I JUST wrote them that this lack of notice-1 day is just another reason i haven't reupped yet. i am off since wed and not checking emails - but fortuneately i did check here! - thanks guys

Not to knock my old company, but I have never understood why they can't keep the efiling system up and running for getting acks long past the end of the season. Change the server port that you are communicating to, year identifier, etc, if you need to differentiate from one year to the next. It has always seemed like such a simple 'fix' to me.
