spiderweb Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Mike, I will be more than happy to give you hand. Can we work something out here. Please give me a call, I will be willing to work something out with you. Thanks in advance. Quote
jainen Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 >>110 1099's<< For a lot less than the cost of an employee, ATX software will scan and enter all that stuff automaticularly. http://www.atxinc.com/products/prod_xscanfill.aspx Quote
Joel Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 If only it works. I tried the program last year and count not get the scanfill program to correctly read the sample 1099's that came with it! Maybe other users had better luck. I asked for and got my money back. Quote
michaelmars Posted October 10, 2008 Author Report Posted October 10, 2008 thanks for the idea but i don't do those big returns in ATX, i use prosystem, most of the returns i do these last few weeks will have 5 or more states and prosystem is just so automated with that. Quote
jainen Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 >>i use prosystem<< Same company--ask your sales rep what is available. Quote
michaelmars Posted October 10, 2008 Author Report Posted October 10, 2008 THEY do offer it but i will not be the beta tester for something that is fairly new, and with muni interest in many states and the client in many states, i doubt the scan-in will do it right, by the time i check it can do it. perhaps in a few years i'll give it a try-at least on prosystem if we do the s corp or 1065 the k-1 will flow to the individual, thats a real timesaver and something cch as gotten fairly correct. joelgilb Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 last return here had a taxpayer that plays with stock options. this year was light with only 265 transactions. Of course we can not download the activity into excel and of course taxpayer is adamant about e-filing and not manually filing and just attaching the last statement! Finally, he is married but do to a divorce with a foreign spouse, he and his U.S. wife file married filing separately and the account is half hers. Well at least I can copy his over to hers! And bill for DOUBLE ENTRY! Quote
Lion EA Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 Have to do mine. Husband forgot his mileage. He's as bad as my other procrastinating clients. But, then, so am I. Quote
