Rejection of 1065

I have e-filed this return for the last 2 or 3 years and now I get this error that "The return type indicated in the return header must match the return type established with the IRS for the EIN." In 2006 there was a change in partners, but there were still two in 2007.

What is the recommended procedure to resolve this with the Feds?

There was a an investment by an outside investor in 2006 that resulted in 3 equal partners. Also during 2006 there was a buyout of a partner in a completely separate transaction that resulted in 2 equal partners at the end of 2006 and all of 2007. No change in the EIN.

I had 3 Partnerships with absolutely no changes that kept generating that message no matter what I tried. I ended up paper filing them.

It has to be an exact match of the name and EIN, or at least for the first four letters. So, if "The" or some other starting point is omitted or added or "Three" is written as "3" or...

I had 4 partnerships & 2 1120S - -ALL had the same error - -NONE changed - - NO response from Tech support - -had to paper file ALL .

No idea what I am going to do this year.
