Rick8026 Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Can anyone help? Whenever we E-file, or receive acknowledgements, every one freezes. We have about 1900 client files on the server. About 5 users Quote
Lee B Posted March 27, 2023 Report Posted March 27, 2023 Have you had support remote into your system? Quote

Rick8026 Posted March 27, 2023 Author Report Posted March 27, 2023 Also, do you think ATX should freeze all the users when someone is E-Filing? or it can be fixed? thanks again! Quote
Lee B Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 Just wondering, how long have you used ATX? When did the freezing problem start? When the freezing occurs how long does it last? What do you have to do to unfreeze things? Quote
Rick8026 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Report Posted March 28, 2023 We've used ATX for dozens of years. E-Filing freezing started about a week or 10 days ago. As soon as she hits the "Transmit" or "Receive Acks" button, the freeze starts. As soon as the process is completed, we can then access the server and continue our work. If a file is already open, then we can continue on that open form. But if we press "Return Manager" or "Rollover Manager", it freezes. Anything to do with the server, including "Save". There is nothing we can do to "unfreeze" it. Any ideas? Quote
Lee B Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 Since the freeze happens when your server is connecting to the ATX server, try excluding all ATX Files and ATX IP addresses from the scrutiny of your firewall. Quote
Rick8026 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Report Posted March 28, 2023 Bummer, I tried and turned off the firewall, no help... Quote
Lee B Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 Well then the problem is either an ATX update or an update to your server. When was the last update to your server? Quote
Rick8026 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Report Posted March 28, 2023 I'll go do updates roight now and then test! And I'll update the server and THANK YOU!!! I'll post back as soon as we can test Quote
Rick8026 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Report Posted March 28, 2023 no luck, anyone know how to contact ATX support? Quote
Lee B Posted March 28, 2023 Report Posted March 28, 2023 I was asking about the last previous update to your server, wondering if that was when your freezing issues began? Quote
Rick8026 Posted March 28, 2023 Author Report Posted March 28, 2023 That may be the answer. Is it possible to roll back the update? Quote
