1120S with Form 2553 after due date

Can you file a 7004 extension for an LLC that wants to convert to S Corp and will file Form 2553 (late filing) with the return, and it still be considered a timely filed return OR do you have to file the tax return by the 3/15/23 deadline to be considered timely filed?

Most likely the extension will not accepted as an 1120S, I recommend paper filing the extension.
