Email about log in attempts ?

Anyone else get an email from the forum concerning failed log in attempts from overseas ?  I did just change my password for security.  But was wondering if this was a site wide issue ?

I did get one last month while I was logging in from Kauai on a two week vacation.

It could be a security feature that Eric set up because of all the scammer/spammers with overseas IPs.
