Got a query today from someone in western MI looking to purchase an agricultural and timber operation (or buy the land and start same). Anyone here have expertise in those areas and up for taking on a new client?

Thanks, @cbslee - anyone familiar with Michigan or at least with agri/timber interests would be helpful. All I know about timber is that there is depletion and oddities in figuring basis.

I don't know; that would be a conversation to have with the client. I have no knowledge of how an entity structure could help or hinder the client's efforts.
