Where's my stimulus payment

IRS.GOV now has a link to a "Where's my stimulus payment " page, just like "Where's my refund". Now we can tell our clients to look it up themselves!!!

I have been telling them "Since I have no control over how the IRS decides to administer this, 1-800-829-1040."

I checked out the IRS website. For some returns, the answer comes back that info is not yet available. For others it showed the rebate amount, date of deposit, breakdown of calc. This might be useful for us next year when the clients don't supply us with the letter of explanation they are supposed to receive.

I'm emailing it to anyone who asks. - it's a good client service function.

It's very easy to use and they can get their status info right away.
