Lucho Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 I practice in California. My first time transmitting a return for Ok. couple. (no Ca. income, just Oklahoma) Federal accepted. For Ok. state in the colum Subtype it says Piggyback and Status colum says IRS cleared. What does "IRS cleared" means? (rejected or sent to OK.) Can someone help me please. I will appreciate. Thank you. Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 On a piggyback return, IRS cleared means the IRS has cleared the return for forwarding to the state. In Virginia, they only pick up the returns when they reach a certain number of them out there as a batch, so sometimes when volume is down it takes a while to change from IRS cleared to accepted.
