dmacsac Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Hello all, ATX charged me $650 for the 1040 package, with unlimited efile, federal and state, for the my 2007 software package. Of course, ATX is quite mediocre. Its bothersome that ATX doesn't even have a solid + efficient tax estimator feature, capable of estimating a client's refund, with the additional child tax credit, 8812. This is one example which is representative of the mediocrity of the ATX program. Drake has all the accolades of great customer service. I've spoken on the phone to the customer service rep. He was charming as hell, and I immediately liked him. They sent me a couple demo CDS, and they are pretty impressive. I prepare around 300 returns per year, mostly individual 1040s, schedule Cs, and tons of W-7 ITIN applications for clients not eligible for social security numbers. The common language among my clients is Spanish. Drake charges $995 (early season discount) or $1495 for full price. Still, I don't know if I can justify this since I don't need all their business features. But, my heart tell me Drake, but my pocketbook tells me ATX. If anyone has any comments, responses, or advice, that would be great. I hope that someone out there can relate to how I'm feeling. Thanks for your time. David Quote
BobinNJ Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 If your doing 300+ returns and tons of other money making things, and from what you said, you must deal in lots of cash, your dilemma is a no brainer. You can make up the difference in a heartbeat. So what if the program has more than you need? Go for it! Bob Quote
