barosser Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Had one extension rejected yesterday due to servers and missed it, (*&^t) I am guessing that is not a good reasson, should I resubmit this morning, mail in one, or just get it done as soon as TP gets me info.. PS thanks a bunch to all that contribute to this board, I learn alot by reading you valued opinions. Quote
kcjenkins Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 If it was sent and rejected, you still have time to get it acked. I think we have 5 days to 'fix' a reject, and have it acked. Quote
barosser Posted April 18, 2008 Author Report Posted April 18, 2008 The reject was because of CCH great server system when it was overloaded, I overlooked it in the reject bin when I shut down for the night. I dont think I have any recourse. Not sure if I should mail, or e file it late.. now its three days late.. Quote
Julie Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 Go ahead and resubmit it. Tomorrow is the last day to resubmit rejects. In your position, if I were still worried, I'd do both. (Sometimes IRS allows postmarks up to a week late. Worth taking the chance.)
