Tal10 Posted February 9, 2022 Report Posted February 9, 2022 I was hoping someone could push me in the right direction. I have a client who has an s corporation and is headquartered in Wisconsin. My client is also a resident of Wisconsin. In 2021 he opened a division in Ohio. Should I be filing the IT 4708 or the IT 1140? Is it possible to use separate accounting with one or the other? I normally only work with businesses solely inside of Wisconsin. Any help would be appreciated! Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted February 9, 2022 Report Posted February 9, 2022 I no longer do business returns but this link should lead you in the right direction if no one else replies. https://tax.ohio.gov/business I know a few years ago there were some changes in how flow through entities filed. I also have had very good experience in the past communicating with the tax department as a tax professional, but via email and by telephone. I wish you a good experience! Quote
mircpa Posted February 10, 2022 Report Posted February 10, 2022 IT 1140 for business, you will have OH IT K1. File OH IT 1040 for shareholder marking as NR & reporting OH's share of income 1 Quote
