Yardley CPA Posted March 27, 2021 Report Posted March 27, 2021 Has anyone successfully eFiled an ATX return with a due date listed in May 2021?? The ones I have eFiled continue to be rejected. I'm using a date of 5/13/21. Quote
HV Ken Posted March 27, 2021 Report Posted March 27, 2021 We are still waiting for the IRS to update their schema. ATX has posted about this on their daily blog. 1 Quote
Randall Posted March 27, 2021 Report Posted March 27, 2021 Are you talking about direct payment? I just put one in to pay April 15. But my letter is showing May 17 now. Quote

But my letter is showing May 17 now. I'm talking about 1040 EF Payment Tab. I indicated for payment to be made on May 13, 2021 and the return was rejected. Your selection of April 15 should not be rejected...hopefully. Quote
Lee B Posted March 28, 2021 Report Posted March 28, 2021 My understanding is that the IRS still hasn't given any guidance yet, which the soft ware providers need to change the date beyond April 15th Quote
cpabsd Posted March 28, 2021 Report Posted March 28, 2021 Hope this gets updated soon. I have clients that owe large balances and want the extra month to pay. I'm now beyond the three days for the date on the e file forms. Ugh!!! Quote

I think the original post was for the automatic debit to be taken out beyond April 15. 1 Quote

Possi Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 Mine are rejecting too, for EFT's beyond April 15. 2 clients need to pay the first quarterly by April 15, so we wanted to send the 2020 liability in May. I'll hold them but not for long. They gotta GOOOOO.... 2 Quote
Lion EA Posted March 29, 2021 Report Posted March 29, 2021 I let my clients choose between 15 April direct debit or use IRS's DirectPay at their convenience through 15 May. (I give them a payment voucher as a reminder, but write the link on it with a note to pay via DirectPay by 15 May and NOT mail a check.) 1 Quote
