schirallicpa Posted March 5, 2021 Report Posted March 5, 2021 I had printed out all of the copies for the client. I had to go back into the return to re-print a PA return. And I when I looked at the federal refund, it had changed. Then I see that the taxable amount of SS had changed by $300. And I swear I didn't do anything but re-print a PA40! I double check all my numbers. I don't see that anything has changed. Except taxable SS. I'm so confused. Quote
Yardley CPA Posted March 5, 2021 Report Posted March 5, 2021 Could it have something to do with the charitable contribution deduction? Quote
Lee B Posted March 5, 2021 Report Posted March 5, 2021 I remember seeing similar posts, when I was still using ATX. If I remember correctly the issue was addressed recalculating and saving frequently? Quote
jklcpa Posted March 5, 2021 Report Posted March 5, 2021 Yes, probably was something to due with the SS worksheet error in calculating taxable amount. If you already had the 8879 signed, keep in mind that you don't have to redo that if the change in tax < $50. 2 Quote
Abby Normal Posted March 5, 2021 Report Posted March 5, 2021 Yeah, I'm seeing a fair number of these, which is the best thing to come out of having to recreate efiles over 5 days old. 2 Quote
