schirallicpa Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 Putting these on Schedule A used to give me so much satisfaction. "yes - you were able to itemize this year because your investment company scammed you for 9500 this year...." But those days are over. 2 2 Quote
Possi Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 Not for nothing, I pay my financial planner plenty and he makes me plenty more. I'd do anything not to drive that bus! LOL And yes, it broke my heart to lose that deduction. Since it's a cost related to making taxable income, I couldn't understand why we lost it. I just about ran out of wine on that one. 5 Quote
JoeFreitag Posted March 1, 2021 Report Posted March 1, 2021 Investment company scammed them? That's a pretty big accusation. Just like with doing their taxes, many people are not educated in, interested in, competent in or comfortable with managing their financial affairs. Quote
Lion EA Posted March 1, 2021 Report Posted March 1, 2021 Those fees always gave me great reasons to justify my own fees: "Why is your fee so high for something I could do myself?" "My fee is only 10% of your broker's fee!" "I never got a bill from my broker...." 1 Quote

He stays in his lane, I stay in mine. We get along real well! LOL He sends me flowers, I drink my wine. And the world turns. 3 Quote
