Yardley CPA Posted February 24, 2021 Report Posted February 24, 2021 I believe there is a schedule on the form that allows you to input the extra $1,000. 1 Quote

One of the hundreds of spots ATX stupidly forces you to duplicate info already inputted elsewhere and the jump to feature doesn't take you to the place you need to enter it. On the 8889 Statement Page 1, which is where the jump to for Line 7 takes you and is the worksheet where you enter the HSA contributions, go down to line 7 and click through. That will take you to the Additional Contributions tab. Check off the two boxes near the top to apply to all months. Then it will allow the additional $1000. 1 Quote
DBerg Posted February 24, 2021 Report Posted February 24, 2021 @Slippery Pencil cannot agree more with the Jump To feature. I started using the "Cross reference" right click feature, that seems to take me to the actual line(most of the time) that I need to enter data. For example on the 8889, if I just the "Jumpto Linked Filed" the green arrow, I am taken to the the "Stmt - Page 1" page. But if I right click on the field and use I get this box and when I click that description, I am taken right to line I need to enter , which is line 3 of the "Stmt- Page 1" Quote
