E-file Rejection when IP PIN has a leading zero

I entered my client's 6-digit IP PIN in ATX. The first digit is a zero: 0xxxxx. But the E-filing is being Rejected by Agency (Reject Code X0000-005) because they say the IP PIN has only 5 digits (xxxxx) instead of 6 digits (0xxxxx). It's as if the first digit zero isn't being seen or is being dropped (sorta like when Excel drops the leading zero if such a number is entered into a cell). The ATX virtual assistant suggested putting a single quote mark before the IP PIN but that resulted in ATX preventing the E-file from even being created. Anybody here with a similar experience?

Not surprising.  I'm guessing a software update will be required.  Please keep us posted.  This could be a problem for more folks this year with the expanded IP PIN availability.
