BobbyCPA Posted February 15, 2021 Report Posted February 15, 2021 I entered my client's 6-digit IP PIN in ATX. The first digit is a zero: 0xxxxx. But the E-filing is being Rejected by Agency (Reject Code X0000-005) because they say the IP PIN has only 5 digits (xxxxx) instead of 6 digits (0xxxxx). It's as if the first digit zero isn't being seen or is being dropped (sorta like when Excel drops the leading zero if such a number is entered into a cell). The ATX virtual assistant suggested putting a single quote mark before the IP PIN but that resulted in ATX preventing the E-file from even being created. Anybody here with a similar experience? Quote
MarlonH Posted February 15, 2021 Report Posted February 15, 2021 I'm having the same problem, but I'm not sure what to do either. Quote
BobbyCPA Posted February 15, 2021 Author Report Posted February 15, 2021 I called ATX early this morning but my automated voice "work order" question hasn't been returned yet. Quote
MarlonH Posted February 15, 2021 Report Posted February 15, 2021 Not surprising. I'm guessing a software update will be required. Please keep us posted. This could be a problem for more folks this year with the expanded IP PIN availability. 2 Quote
BobbyCPA Posted February 15, 2021 Author Report Posted February 15, 2021 Still waiting for a reply from ATX. Hopefully the delay is because it's a holiday (theirs, not mine). 1 Quote
BobbyCPA Posted February 17, 2021 Author Report Posted February 17, 2021 No response from ATX. Very disappointed with that level of customer service. Quote
MarlonH Posted February 18, 2021 Report Posted February 18, 2021 Hey, I re(re-)submitted my return with this issue and it was approved by the IRS this time. Try it again. Quote
BobbyCPA Posted February 19, 2021 Author Report Posted February 19, 2021 Thank you! I'll try again. Quote
