jklcpa Posted December 16, 2020 Report Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) IRS announced it will shutdown for e-filing of business returns on Dec 26th. If planning to transmit on this last day, please check with your software vendor for the cutoff time for transmitting and processing returns for e-filing. EDIT - please see Lynn's post below that ATX will stop accepting returns on 12/22. Drake software is accepting through 11:59pm on the 26th. The email that I received from Drake says as follows: "You will be able to transmit returns to Drake up until 11:59 am ET on Saturday, December 26, 2020. We strongly suggest you attempt your final transmissions at least one hour before the cutoff time." Quote
David W Ristau CPA Posted December 16, 2020 Report Posted December 16, 2020 ATX cut-off is 6 PM Eastern Time Zone on 12-22, 1 PM Hawaii time zone. Sad to me that they cut off so many days ahead of actual closure by IRS.... 1 Quote

Gail in Virginia Posted December 17, 2020 Report Posted December 17, 2020 ProSeries is cutting off on Dec. 21. Ridiculous Quote
grandmabee Posted December 17, 2020 Report Posted December 17, 2020 I agree, closing it early is just not right! Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted December 21, 2020 Report Posted December 21, 2020 ProSeries has apparently changed the date to Dec. 23 at 2:00 (or I read it wrong the first two times I looked.) Better! Quote
