ILLMAS Posted October 12, 2020 Report Posted October 12, 2020 Has anyone amended a 2018 tax return that incurred a penalty for not having health insurance, can one even go retroactive? Thanks Quote
Abby Normal Posted October 13, 2020 Report Posted October 13, 2020 I amended one to remove a penalty because they client lied and told me they didn't have health insurance, so I assessed a penalty. Then they got a notice saying they needed to send their 1095-A and an 8962. So I got them a refund. Quote
ILLMAS Posted October 13, 2020 Author Report Posted October 13, 2020 Not that many people can say it was a good lie Quote
