F A Henry Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 I work in a tax office that currently uses ATX and Pro Series and ProSeries allows efiling up to 3 years in arrears; does anyone know why this function is not available in ATX and how is ProSeries able to allow efiling past years. Thanks, Fitzroy. Quote
jklcpa Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 Did the firm purchase the prior year ATX programs? ATX definitely allows e-filing of prior year returns, and in order to do that, the office must be a current ATX customer, meaning the office currently has access to the ATX server, AND the office must have each of those prior years' ATX programs. BulldogTom Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 What Judy said, plus you need to have a credit card on file to pay the fees. The one I did this year, they did not charge me for, or at least it has not shown up on my Credit Card yet. Tom Modesto, CA Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted May 20, 2020 Report Posted May 20, 2020 ProSeries is able to allow filing three years because the IRS allows filing three years. Quote
