Max W Posted April 30, 2020 Report Posted April 30, 2020 For Get My Refund, how do you enter apartment numbers? Apt A, Apartment A, #A, Apt. No. A ?? Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted April 30, 2020 Report Posted April 30, 2020 Last I heard use #A or #1 or whatever but use # instead of apt Quote
Lee B Posted April 30, 2020 Report Posted April 30, 2020 I thought punctuation marks and special characters were not allowed ? Quote
Lion EA Posted April 30, 2020 Report Posted April 30, 2020 I'd heard to leave anything such as an apartment, unit, suite, bldg, whatever OFF, just the basic street address. I'll admit I went to USPS to find out how to format XX Upland Terrace which was on the return and did not work, and l found XX Upland Ter which also did not work! That's for an SS only friend. Of course, she has more SS only friends that DID get their direct deposits this week. I'm not getting work done for my real clients with all these frantic phone calls from non-clients! 1 Quote
JohnH Posted May 1, 2020 Report Posted May 1, 2020 Best practice is to go to the USPS Zip Code Lookup and determine exactly the address should be formatted. Use this exact format (even if it was slightly different on the original return). I've been through this with a few clients. Believe me, it's worth the effort to check the USSPS site before entering address info on the IRS site. https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?byaddress 2 Quote
