Forms did not recalculate after a change was made

Last year I had a situation where a change made on one form did not change the other forms as necessary.  This was discovered later and required an amended return.  When I cleared the field in the 2018 program and entered the number again, the change flowed through as it should.  I cannot remember the form or circumstances.  However, I would like to prevent it from happening this year.  Is there a tool to recalculate the return?

If this change was an override, it sometimes will not flow through correctly.  Usually if you change a figure in a blue field, it will carry through.

F9 is the recalculate key. Closing and reopening the return will definitely recalculate the entire return. I've done that whenever something doesn't seem right.
