Possi Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 Well, according to my client, she is a full time student, but the 1098T does not have the box checked for "at least half time." Will this be questioned if I trust the client on this? It's daughter's first year of college, fall classes, $4005. Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 Maybe get transcript which would show classes? Compare with course descriptions? Does the cost seem appropriate for a full time student? 1 Quote
Medlin Software, Dennis Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 Only from memory, but at some places, that amount would not be enough for full time credits. You should be able to look a the school web site or just a google search to see cost per unit and units to be considered full time. Quote
Possi Posted March 26, 2020 Author Report Posted March 26, 2020 This is a small community college, so it could be full time. I'll research some more. Quote
Medlin Software, Dennis Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 The college may have someone you can get in touch with. Likely full time, but if you want comfort, a print out of their unit fee and full time unit count could be enough. 1 Quote
Pacun Posted March 27, 2020 Report Posted March 27, 2020 It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is. The student could perfectly be a full time student but last semester only took 5 credits. Quote
