BearAhamN Posted March 11, 2020 Report Posted March 11, 2020 US expat moved and doesn't have his IP PIN anymore. taxpayer can't renew it online and the IRS will not send it to the new address overseas. I need to file 2018 US, NY & MA. 2018 Federal return is rejected because I didn't know the IP PIN issue. How can I efile the two states without the Federal (paper filing the federal)? Yes, I have unlinked both states' EF info and rerun the return, but it won't let me transmit the state, it is still showing "hold". Delete federal from e-file? I would really like to be able to e-file NY and MA 2018 without the federal return. Alternatively, I can have the client mail all of the returns (2018 and 2019). Thanks Quote
BearAhamN Posted March 11, 2020 Author Report Posted March 11, 2020 ATX support instructed me to manually release the state returns under the file manager and then transmit. For the Federal 1040 efile that is rejected, they instructed me to delete it. I will update by the end of the week! Quote
