Clergy Peeps - Question about statutory employee and business expenses

When filing a Schedule C for a Pastor who is a statutory employee, I have simply been taking the reduction for the non-taxable income/total income % as a negative expense on the Schedule C.  Is there another way this is supposed to be reported that I am just missing?
