I have a client with 45 pages of investments Statements and I just entered the totals into the return, but would like to upload and send the detailed Oppenheimer Statements with the Tax return.  Do I save these forms in PDF format, and how do I attach it to my tax return so it will e-file with it?

Yes, it needs to be a PDF. Use the efile menu to attach PDFs to a return.

Or just skip it. No one at the IRS is ever going to look at your PDF. Plus the PDF may be so large you'll have problem efiling it.

I've never attached a 1099. Have a client with 4 trust accounts - the smallest of the tax forms is 180 pages. It was over 1,000 pages of trading activity and dividends this year.

Count my vote as skip the 1099 PDF attachment.

I've been filing for at least 10 years using summary totals only, split into A-F category and by issuer.

Never challenged, never questioned and save  a lot of time on entries...

I agree with Abby Normal: no one at IRS is pulling the returns for review.
