jasdlm Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 I have filed the LLC return for this client since 2012. Always pay the $800 to FTB by 15 April for the year. This year, ATX is generating the usual 3522 for the $800 AND a 3536 for $900 due 15 June. What am I doing wrong? I googled, and from what I can read, only one is owed. Yikes. Thanks so much! Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 If income is over 250,000 They will owe both. One is the corporate tax and the other I believe they call a fee. 1 Quote

joanmcq Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 LLCs have a tax/fee on gross income, not net 1 Quote
Tax Prep by Deb Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 I keep telling my clients that they are not cheap. One is a smog shop smock. So far he hasn't but the magic number but I'm sure his day is coming. 1 Quote

I meant to say my client who is a single member LLC is a smog shop with less than 250,000 gross income. He hasn't hit the magic number yet so only had to pay the 800. Quote
BulldogTom Posted March 16, 2019 Report Posted March 16, 2019 All my LLC's pay $841 per year. $800 LLC fee and $41 for failure to make estimated payment. I don't know why I waste the paper and toner to print out the voucher every year. Tom Modesto, CA 3 1 Quote
