Best free remote log in program

Can anyone suggest a good, free remote log in program?  I have one client who has trouble using join.me and wonder if there is an easier way.  I need to log into their computer once every year.  Thanks and Merry Christmas!

We just switched to AnyDesk and we are very happy with it. We're using the free version now but will likely pay for it soon.

Clients don't even have to install it. Just run the download whenever you need to get in.

I am sure there are free, but not one that I would use, even for a once a year.  I prefer paid, since I need it to be reliable, fast, and secure.

I use Splashtop to manage my own computer from anywhere (which means I do not have to ever be "at" work), as well as to provide remote support.

Current versions of Remote Desktop and SOS.  Note, I was an early customer, so it appears I benefit from older pricing, based on what my next renewal shows to be.
