Printing New Form 1040

As the proposed new 1040 is reportedly smaller than the usual photocopy sheet I am wondering if it will not look a bit odd to our clients. Any thoughts on this?

I keep hoping ATX will let us print both half pages on one page instead of having giant white spaces on two pages. And the Schedules should print contiguously.

It will never be approved, won't fit on a postcard !

That was my thought as well Abby. Perhaps the form will still fit the 81/2 x 11 page even though it has fewer lines. I can only imagine the effect that a page with a huge white gap followed by another with a big gap would have on clients.

Perhaps we can print on perforated paper and remove the blank portion at the bottom !

Perhaps we can print it on toilet paper, and we all know what to do with that.....

The bottom half could be a coupon for 10% off for referring a new client. Or a free pizza.

Because that's all there will be for 2018 and forward. Unless someone comes to their senses and we return to the old 1040 or something similar.

 So that you can wave it around and say to your client,  "Now you can file your return on a postcard !

I told my client that my fees are going up next year due to postcard tax return. Client asked why because now I have to print more pages cost more toner to my printer.
