AnnieR Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 hate it!!! BUT, my small dog never adjusted her meal time to standard time. Maybe now she'll quit starting to beg for food at 3 in the afternoon! We can set out clocks by her! Guess when you only weigh 5# you don't have much in reserve. AnnieR Quote
joanmcq Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 God DST sucks. If they changed the clocks April 20th I wouldn't mind so much. Doesn't save any energy either by all the studies done. Quote
elfling Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 My family owned a dairy farm for many years. The cows were milked every 12 hours regardless of what the government decided was the correct time. I recall my one uncle squawking about how DST was supposed to help the farmers. Was nothing but a PITA for him. The truck and feed store schedules would move when the milking schedule didn't. :P Quote
MargaretMort Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I grew up with SW Nebraska where the farmers were most of the economy. Though I was a "city" kid, I thought Daylight Savings was silly when the government explained that it was being put into effect to "help" the farmers. (Obviously I go way back.) All the farmers I knew got up with or before the sun and worked until dark. Quote
