Just came down late last night. I ran it on my Test Client file and it looks good. The new higher income limits for child tax credit helped on this test file, as did the QBI deduction. And even though the actual tax was higher, the child and family tax credits reduced the tax by almost 60%.

I did quick check last night on a client that I had done some work on my own spreadsheet and seems to check out from itemized deduction changes and income tax rate changes.  The only area I haven't verified was AMT which seemed higher than expected given the new higher limits and exemptions

I opened up a return and got the message that the planner was not available and will be automatically added when available.  I opened another return and tried the add a form function but got the message that it was not available.

I am embarrassed to say I never really new this existed...As a planner, I always just created a copy of the return and made changes to see what results would be like the following year assuming no changes in tax laws....which worked OK the past few years, but certainly won't work for 2018.  I will need to play with this new toy.

With ATX, we're all just stumbling around in the dark finding new places. Unless you read the user's guide... which I probably ought to do someday. Probably be good to just read the table of contents and index!

Anybody figure how to maybe only print 2 or 3 of the columns. I think anything beyond that may be crap shoot.

It's been suggested in the official forum multiple times to let us choose the number of columns. If you have a PDF editor and patience you can delete the unwanted columns. I've done it twice in years past but I'm just spending the toner and printing it all this year, because everyone is getting one.

For my personal use, I just ignore the additional columns.  If I want to show the client, I just print and cut off the additional columns.

The additional columns would be more useful if ATX calculated the reduced child tax credit as kids turn 17. Also putting in an inflation factor screws up the child tax credit by applying inflation to the credit. Off to the official forum to let them know!

I've been using it and it's been working well.  At least, I think it has...this time next year will be it's test.  :D

I use only the first two columns, in this case the 2017 current and the 2018 future.  I place zeros in the 2019 fields which zero's out the rest of the columns.

I haven't been able to get into the 'official atx forum' for several months.  When I click on it I get kicked to some other screen.

Maybe you were banned for leaving a negative comment. :)
