I'm still looking, but I'm not finding anything in the ATX knowledgebase. I see Drake has a way to mark a return inactive, but I don't see a checkbox or anything in ATX to mark the return inactive. I would really like to transmit this today, but I don't want it to be flagged because I missed something. I'm still checking the other forum and ATX instructions.

Thanks

I do not believe there is any such thing as an inactive S-Corp at the federal level.  I know in PA, the RCT 101 (corporate return) has its own (form RCT 101i) for filing as an inactive.  But I am at a loss to come up with anything similar at the federal level.  I tell my clients that if they are inactive, I will file a no activity return for them annually for a nominal fee.  They can do the math as to when that fee stops making sense and they pay an attorney to dissolve the corp.

Good luck!
