giogis245 Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 I have a few teachers from spain who just recently went back to their country, they closed their bank accounts here in the USA, so now how can they receive their money? I've already looked into direct deposit and it will not allow me to input that into ATX because what their banks provide is not a 9 digit routing number, so now the question is, can IRS mail check and other correspondence (should there be any) to Spain? I input their address in ATX and I am getting an error.... Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Quote
Lynn EA USTCP in Louisiana Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 A couple of spanish banks, Santander for instance, have branches in the Northeast U.S. If your client has accounts with Santander, or another spanish bank with branches here, perhaps the refund could be direct deposited to the U S bank and then the client could arrange for transfer to their spanish branch account. 1 Quote
