how to close search bar after you have searched

I tried hitting the "search internet" tab and now I cannot get the little bar to close in my return.

Did you have to click the down arrow to get to the search internet button?  If so, click on the down arrow again and click the search internet button again.  That will close the bar for you.

Just click the Search Online icon again. Like so many things these days, it's a toggle.
