Tax Prep by Deb Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 Using it with no problems at all. Quote
gfizer Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 It actually helped the performance of my 2015 software - got rid of the dreaded server not responding message - and so far 2016 is operating great with Windows 10 too. Quote
Lloyd Hudson Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 I have been procrastinating on changing to Win 10. Concerned not so much of current software behaving but backwards compatibility. Do a lot of older returns. 1 Quote
Terry D EA Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 All I can add is I am using Drake on Windows 10Pro. New computer, good processor, 8G memory and everything is working better than ever. But, I am keeping older returns on a Win 7 machine. Quote
PaulH Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 I've installed ATX 2003-2016 on a new W10 computer with no problems. Quote
Terry D EA Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 I have found that older versions of QB will not work with Windows 10. For some odd reason, QB 2010 will work but anything going forward will not. Intuit will not address this at all and only suggests you upgrade to the latest version. So much for the backwards compatibility of Windows 10. Don't know if you use QB or not but thought it might be something you would want to consider. 1 Quote
Randall Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Currently using W8.1. I'll go W10 when I buy a new system. I keep my previous computer for the back years. Only bring the current year ATX onto the new computer so I can rollover the next year. For QB, can't get some clients to upgrade. Some are still using a real old version of QB. I don't think the Accountant's copy is compatible except for one year back so I have to use an older QB version if I want to use the Accountant changes function. 3 Quote
