I moved your post to general chat and out of the "help" forum. "Help" is used for this forum's help, and most all of the questions other than health care are posted in the general chat section. Sorry, I don't have specific advice on your problem, but I'm sure that someone here will have some useful advice for you.

I Presume that you did have the clients in your file before the update, correct?

Usually, it is just the link to the actual database that gets scrambled.  Close 2016, open 2015, and then reopen 2016.  Sometimes, that might help.  if not, you have call customer support.
