Christian Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 This week I am preparing a Form 1041 for a decedent's estate a form I rarely need to prepare. The estate has two co-executors and in reviewing the form I find a line for only one. After looking over the instructions I don't come to a resolution of my problem. Can one of them be shown on the form and sign the return or do I list the second one as well (where) and need their signature on the form (where) as well? Any input will be appreciated. Quote
Pacun Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Maybe one of the executors will be the designed "Tax Matters Executor" and the other the designated driver when they come to your office. I am assuming that this should work like two partners filing form 1065. 4 Quote
