ILLMAS Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Scenario In 2013, TP spouse had to relocate temporarily to a different state for work and TPs' employer allowed him to work from home without a problem. In 2014, spouse assignment ended and TP returned to his office. In 2016, TP and spouse decided to buy a house in a different state, the move was not related to work, however this time TPs' employer did not allow him to work from home. So the TP has to fly back and forth, rent an apartment and is incurring out of pocket expense, would this count as an unreimbursed employee expense? Quote
