ATX Startup Issues

When I start the software I get the following error message, "An attempt was made to start the server process, but the application is still unable to connect.  Please start the server and try again."

Any idea why this happens?

I had that happen once on my stand alone install.  Tried again a minute later and it worked.  Sorry I cant be of more assistance.

Atx is a resource hog.  When it happens to me it is usually because I am doing something else with the computer while ATX is loading.  If I stop everything and then reopen I have no problem.  I found you just can't rush it.

I have had luck with Control panel-Administrative tools-Services-then restart ATX, I usually do 13-15.  Takes only a few seconds.  There are also other methods.

To the original poster, if this happens frequently to you after your computer has been up and running for 30 minutes, buy a new computer.

Sometimes the servers just don't start automatically. I bring up Windows Task Manager every morning to see if all three (2013-2015) servers are running. Sometimes, one or two have not started. I just use ATX Admin Console to start them using Windows Services is equally valid.

It is also true that, even if the service is running, if any part of your system is bogged down with other things, ATX will give up trying to reach the server service.
