GeorgeM Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 I have been using PaperPort starting with version 11 when I purchased a brother scanner. It worked fine for a few years and I updated to version 12 which still worked fine. When I updated to Windows 10 I purchased PaperPort 14 it worked fine for a couple of months and all of a sudden problems. It seemed that I could do one or two things in and it would bomb out on me. I called tech support the first person I talked to ran a program he said it would take care of everything and I tried again the same day it started Bombing out again. The next day I called them back again spoke to a different person you did something in my computer and he said everything should be fine. After I hung up with him I tried using it in the same thing. Next day I spoke to another person he didn't do much but he said it was okay for I was working fine after you hung up or try to get in and still the same thing. I had downloaded version 14.5 and I didn't help, so I took 14.5 out of my computer totally and loaded version 12 . It seems to work okay so I am keeping version 12 in the as of now. I was wondering if anyone on this board uses PaperPort and have had the problems that I have had. I have looked on online for replacements to PaperPort but the ones I did find an tried I didn't like it all PaperPort seems to be very easy to run and easy to get along with. ILLMAS Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 It's probably time to invest in a new scanner that is compatible with WIN10, I recommend the fujitsu s1500, the software that comes with it scansnap is excellent, I had to pay close to $500 just to get the software for free. 2 Quote
