OldJack Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Its been years since I had a client that has not received their refund after timely filing. Check your refund webpage says its in process. What phone number would the tax payer or I would call to find out what is going on? edit: Its a simple farm and works in town tax return with no losses. Single taxpayer, no earned income credit, no credits, etc. Quote

schirallicpa Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 I have a couple that were filed in July that are sitting there "being processed". Wondered if IRS had taken a little vacation. Perhaps they have a beach address that it should have gone to. 1 Quote

Lee B Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Your client has obviously become the unwelcome recipient of the infamous "enhanced electronic screening", a black hole from which some tax returns are never seen again 6 Quote
OldJack Posted August 2, 2016 Author Report Posted August 2, 2016 Thanks all... I didn't know if the priority line number was still in use. Quote

If you can call what is available, "in use." Be prepared for a disappointing experience. Much less helpful than two years ago. 2 Quote
MDEA Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 I disagree I use PPL on a weekly basis and have found it to be of great use. They usually answer with in two minutes and try very hard to answer questions. I always have a signed 2848 on file or ready to fax. 5 Quote
