Our firm is looking to scrap the 30ish page tax organizer that our software spits out and move to a more generic yet streamlined approach to getting client information.  Ideally looking for a checklist or questionnaire that would prompt gathering of materials and highlight new items relevant to the tax year.  Any suggestions?

Katherine: That's a nice organizer.  Much more compact that most we see, but it covers all the major bases. 

 

mrewa:  Whatever type of organizer you use, it's a great idea to email it to your clients (if you aren't already doing that).
