Drake sent out a notice stating what the price will be if acted upon by certain dates.  NO NEGOTIATING.  I like that kind of business.  They give a price and you either accept it or don't.  BTW there hasn't been a price increase in several years.

I was impressed how they merged our first names on a glossy letter.  The way I understand it the best price is guaranteed to 5/31 although that could be negotiated  all year.  I also heard the new quote is 10% more than last year.  And so the drama begins, before you even get to catch your breath.

FDNY, you are so right, let the drama begin. I use TaxWise and I have to work a deal every year. I've used it for so long now that the learning curve would be too much for me to negotiate a change. I won't change for price, but I would change if another software could top the simplicity of this program. Maybe it's easy because I have used it for so long... It was 16 years ago that I was training new preparers at Liberty on this software. They have their own now, of course.

That's been the policy for years. There was always an exact 10% increase, and then they'd play with the discounts, promotions, and contests.
