Windows 10 is being forced on me.

Windows 10 solicitations no longer have an "x" to back out of the add. I can schedule the download into the future but not past April 4.

Is anyone else being abused like this. Has anyone been OK with an upgrade from 7 to 10?  Thanks.

I won't upgrade. I can go to the bottom of the window and close it. Hover over it and right click, see if you can close it.

It is a little bit technical, but there are a couple of places with simple instructions.

Microsoft has been changing to a bad-ass bully about this, and many users are fed up with it.

Download and run GWX Control Panel and 10 will not bother you anymore.

And enable Monitor mode to stop unwanted upgrades.

Another suggestion I got was to turn off automatic updates. It seems to have stopped the adds. Thanks.

mine updated on me one fine day while i wasn't sitting in front of it.  Makes me mad.  and annoying to get used to in the middle of busy season.

My laptop did that.  I didn't accept the terms, so it went back to 7 taking a very long time.  But, it went back.  Not updating during tax season.  Probably not updating until it's a new computer.

(I'd followed some instructions I read here to keep my desktop from asking to upgrade, but hadn't gotten around to doing that on my lesser used laptop.  Now, I can't find those instructions.)

I upgraded back in December and regretted it ever sense.  To be fair though, my problems might be caused by my internet hiccupping during the download.
